Welcome to the XDBio Graduate Program whose training faculty include scientists at the Johns Hopkins University and the Howard Hughes Medical Institute’s Janelia Research Campus. In this program, we aim to provide you with focused, individualized training in the biomedical sciences and to facilitate interdisciplinary research training bridging biology, engineering, computer and data science, chemistry, and medicine.

Johns Hopkins is home to deep research expertise where clinical care and research at Johns Hopkins Medicine informs discovery science across the university. Janelia Research Campus (https://www.janelia.org/) is HHMI’s innovative research center where integrated teams combine technological innovation and interdisciplinary research to tackle big conceptual and technological challenges in biomedical science.

This program is fully centered on you, the student. We will strive to support the implementation of your creative ideas, and accelerate your path to independence.
